Education and Experience

My name is Mr. Lopez, S.   I attended California State University Northridge where I earned a B.A. degree in Anthropology.  Anthropology is the study of humans across time and cultures.
I consequently enrolled at the same university for my teaching credential in special education Moderate/Severe disabilities.  In addition, I also attended California State University Los Angeles where  I cleared my credentials in Mild/Moderate and Moderate/Severe disabilities.
I have been a volunteer for a non-profit organization for almost 20 years; that helps individuals with disabilities gain autonomy, increase self-worth, and contribute and become part of the broader society.

Teacher Biography

Hello,

My name is Mr. Senen Lopez.  This is my 10th year teaching Special Education.   This is my fifth year teaching at Willard E.  I love teaching because it enables me to problem solve, be creative and find new ways to make learning a fun experience.
I live in Los Angeles with my wife and 9 month daughter.  I like gardening and getting involved in my community.
I graduated Cal State Northridge in 2003 with a bachelor's degree in Anthropology (the science dealing with the origins, cultural developments of people).  Later, I attended Cal State Los Angeles and received my credentials in Special Education (Mild/Moderate and Moderate/Severe) disabilities.
I look forward to many more years of teaching the wonderful students at Garvey School District.
