Principal's Message

Dear Willard Wildcats and Families,

Welcome to the 2026-2027 school year! We are excited to begin a new year of learning, growth, and opportunities for every student to shine.

This year's theme is "Superhero." While superheroes are often known for their special powers, the real superheroes at Willard are our students, families, and staff who show courage, kindness, perseverance, and leadership every day.

Our goal this year is to help every student discover the power within themselves and recognize that their voice matters.

One of our primary focuses is "UNMUTE Our Students." We want students to be active participants in their learning by asking questions, sharing ideas, explaining their thinking, collaborating with classmates, and solving problems together. When students are given opportunities to use their voice, they develop confidence, strengthen communication skills, and grow as leaders.

We will also continue to expand opportunities in Science and STEM, encouraging students to explore, investigate, and innovate. Through hands-on learning experiences, students will develop curiosity, creativity, and critical thinking skills while learning how to work collaboratively and communicate their ideas.

Equally important is our commitment to Cultural Proficiency. We believe every student deserves to feel seen, valued, respected, and connected. By celebrating the diverse backgrounds and experiences of our school community, we create an environment where all students feel a sense of belonging and are empowered to succeed.

At Willard, we believe leadership is not about a title. It is about using your voice, making a positive difference, showing empathy, and inspiring others. Throughout this school year, we will encourage all Wildcats to embrace leadership opportunities both inside and outside the classroom.
